The boys favorite birthday cake is Grandma's chocolate cake.
It is a must have for our boys.
Scappele, fried dough or pizza frite. Italian's have many names for the same food. Loved by all. My husband's family make these gems in a ball and call them sfinge.
Coconut Cake
As a young girl, I remember my mother baking, almost like a ritual, on a daily basis. It was her passion, her hobby, her heart. Every year for my birthday, I requested, coconut cake. It was like sinking your fork into marshmallow fluff. I have pictured my favorite and some great cupcakes I have made most recently.
